Over the past decade, Beyonce has dominated not just R&B, but music in general. Not only has she changed the scape of music, but she has also solidified herself as one of the best perfomers of all time. After she celebrated her 37th birthday on September 4th, Ms. Knowles must have been in a reflective mood. On September 6th, Beyonce posted a heartfelt reflection on her life, love, career, and family on Instagram, a long with a photo of her and husband, Jay-Z.

“At 36, I became a new mother of 3. I breastfed twins. Renewed my vows with my husband of ten years. I came back home to the stage to do Coachella, after pregnancy. Then my husband and I released our album together, Everything Is Love. And we’ve been touring with our family around the world, and loving it. This year has been monumental for me”.

In addition to reflecting on how wonderful her year was, Beyonce also expressed how grateful she is for her experiences and her support system. “I thank God for everyone in my life. Thank you for all the positivity and for the beautiful birthday wishes. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn from my past, living in the present, and surrendering to the future. I love you, Hive.”
