The Nicki Minaj charity crusade continues. Last week, former Cosby show star, Geoffrey Owens was spotted working at a Trader Joe’s grocery store, and was unfortunately shamed for it by the media. Nicki Minaj did not take too kindly to the public ridicule Geoffrey Owens was facing, and decided to offer him $25,000 to help him out.

Initially, the whole ordeal started with Geoffrey minding his business. Owens was still an actor and teacher, but he picked up a job at the store to make ends meet. Someone who recognized him then snapped a photo with out his permission, and sent it to news outlets. Outlets attempted to shame owens for having a “regular job” instead of an acting gig.

Next, an incredible thing happened. Geoffrey Owens received an outcry of support from the world. Many people offered kind words and felt that what he ws doing was noble. He even received an acting job offer from director Tyler Perry. Then comes Nicki.

On her Queen Radio show, Nicki passionately expressed her feelings about the whole ordeal.

“They took a picture of Geoffrey Owens and put this muthafuckin’ man on the muthafuckin’ internet while he was fuckin’ baggin’ up some fuckin ‘groceries to feed his muthafuckin’ family,” Nicki said. “I personally want to donate, on behalf of Queen Radio, $25,000 to Geoffrey Owens today. You know why? Let me tell you something. This man is a whole fuckin’ legend in these streets.”

No word on whether or not Owens will accept the offer, but it was defintely generous of Nicki, and we’re sure he’s flattered by the support. Check out the Queen Radio clip below.
