Tekashi 6ix9ine’s legal troubles continue to pile up. In October, the Brooklyn rapper canceled his Washington, D.C. performance 35 minutes before his scheduled performance at Howard University’s homecoming.
According to TMZ, they are threatening Tekashi with a lawsuit, if he doesn’t pay $500,000 to Hits Before Fame & DMV Events for canceling the show.
The event promoters want the $58,470 they paid to 6ix9ine prior to the show. They also want to be reimbursed for the loss of ticket sales, rental expenses, marketing fees, and more. Instead of attending the Howard event that night, 6ix9ine chose to perform at Power 105.1’s 2018 Powerhouse instead. Now, Tekashi has to pay up or battle another lawsuit.
