Teyana Taylor Unveils ‘A Rose From Harlem’ Jordan Collection with Star-studded Short Film
In celebration of her inaugural Jordan collection, Teyana Taylor has released an enchanting, fairytale-themed short film.
The highly anticipated Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 “A Rose From Harlem” was unveiled last week (June 1) and sold out within mere minutes of its launch. The demand for the sneakers skyrocketed after fans watched celebrities unbox their advance pairs, gifted to stars such as Missy Elliott and Lil Wayne.
Earlier this week, Teyana Taylor unveiled a mini-movie crafted specifically for the Jordan collection launch. The short film features a star-studded cast including Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Eagles, who plays a Prince Charming to Taylor’s Cinderella. DJ Khaled also graces the screen, portraying the fairy godfather. Additional cameos include notable figures from NYC such as Remy Ma, Lola Brooke, Fabolous, and Maino, with special appearances from Taylor’s daughter, mother, and grandmother.
Taylor, a multifaceted artist, expressed her gratitude to her co-stars and shared her “love letter to Harlem” on Instagram.
“Reality and fairytales are not as distant as we perceive them to be. A dream made tangible is merely a fairytale in non-fiction. As a dreamer, I was often hesitant to partake in life’s magical dance until I truly began to believe in myself,” she wrote.
Taylor offered an empowering message, urging all dreamers worldwide to have the courage to stand out and let life and time shape them.
In her gratitude-filled post, she said, “Thank you to the community that helped narrate the story of a dreamer who blossomed from the concrete through this magnificent commercial/mini movie & this beautiful sneaker🌹”
