Made in America Festival, founded by Roc Nation boss JAY-Z in 2012, has become synonymous with Labor Day Weekend. In the previous year, the festival achieved overwhelming success with headliners Bad Bunny and Tyler, the Creator, an impressive lineup of talent, and an abundance of positive energy from attendees.
Lizzo’s appearance at Made in America comes on the heels of her chart-topping studio album “Special,” which claimed the coveted spot on the Billboard 200 chart in 2022. Her single “About Damn Time” also soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, further solidifying her status as a musical force.
Meanwhile, SZA’s critically acclaimed album “SOS” dominated the Billboard 200 for an impressive 10 non-consecutive weeks in 2022 and 2023. The Top Dawg Entertainment artist also achieved a No. 1 hit on the Hot 100 with her captivating song “Kill Bill.”
With the dynamic duo of SZA and Lizzo leading the lineup, the 2023 Made in America Festival promises to be an unforgettable experience for music lovers and festival-goers alike.
