NAACP Image Award Winners
The 53rd NAACP Image Awards announced their winners in the music category Thursday. Jazmine Sullivan won big with three awards.
She received the Outstanding Album award for Heaux Tales, Outstanding Soul/R&B Song for “Pick Up Your Feelings” and award for Best Artist. Jay-Z and Jeymes Samuel won Outstanding Soundtrack/Collaboration Album for the movie, The Harder They Fall. Saweetie took home the Best New Artist award. Wizkid & Tems “Essence” received the award for Outstanding Music Video along with the Justin Bieber version receiving Outstanding International Song. Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak as Silk Sonic won best traditional group and Anthony Hamilton was awarded Outstanding Male Artist. The Image Awards will air on BET on Saturday, March 26 at 8pm. The show will be hosted by Anthony Anderson with a performance from Mary J. Blige.
