Mary J. Blige Makes Google “Year In Search”
Google released its annual “Year in Search” data which includes Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar. Mary reached No. 2 in the Musicians and Bands category. She released her Good Morning Gorgeous album in February. Blige had a great year that also included the Super Bowl LVI halftime show, receiving the Billboard Icon Award, and being named one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World by Time. Lil Tjay made the list as well at No. 3. Kendrick Lamar followed at No. 4. Google’s Top Trending People Section included Johnny Depp at No. 1 followed by Will Smith at No. 2. Google bases its “Year In Search” data on queries that had a high spike in a traffic over a sustained period in 2022 compared to 2021. It does not reflect “most searched” or “top searches.”
