Justin Timberlake Apologizes For Beat Ya Feet Attempt
Justin Timberlake went viral on social media after attempting the “Beat Ya Feet” dance during his Something In The Water set. The festival took place in DC, the home of the dance. Justin decided to apologize for his lackluster attempt saying, “DC, I want to apologize to you for two reasons: here and here,” as he pointed the camera to his feet. “I had a long talk with both of them, individually, and said, ‘Don’t you ever do that to me again.'” Beat Ya Feet is closely associated with Go-Go music and popularized in part by Chuck Brown. Even the mayor, Muriel Bowser, commented with a tweet, “Should I consider a mayoral pardon of @jtimberlake? And then for his shot at redemption, we would need @Pharrell to bring #SITWFest back.”
