Jhene Aiko Gives Super Bowl Pregame Performance
Los Angeles native, Jhene Aiko, performed “America the Beautiful” during the 2022 Super Bowl pregame show last night.
She came out dressed in a plum-colored, sequin gown alongside a harpist as she gave her rendition of “American the Beautiful.” She had previously announced her performance via Twitter adding “my Daddy’s from Cincinnati.. Mom is from L.A.” After her performance, the National Anthem was sang by country singer Mickey Guyton. Jhene’s last album, Chilombo, was released in 2020 and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. According to Big Sean, they have a followup to their Twenty88 album in the works.
