Ella Mai Releases New Single, Talks Sophomore Album
Ella Mai released her latest single, “DFMU” and spoke with Apple Music 1 about her anticipated sophomore album.
Her last album, Ella Mai, was released three years ago and received 2x platinum from the RIAA. Her last single, “Not Another Love Song” was released in 2020. Fans had been waiting on the new album for a while. Ella Mai sat down with Zane Lowe to talk about the unreleased album. “I think, and especially with difference to the debut album process. Sorry. Like I said, I was naive. So I was just going in the studio and doing whatever and writing with a bunch of people,” Ella Mai said. “And I wasn’t really thinking about it. But this time around, I’m obviously a lot more experienced. So I think you just can’t even help but to think about it, which then makes everything a lot more difficult.” She says some days are good days in the studio while other days may be horrible and nothing happens. She still hasn’t given a date for the album but she’s working on it.
