Chris Brown Reacts To AMAs Ratings Drop
Chris Brown reacted to news that this year’s American Music Awards recorded an all-time ratings low in wake of his canceled Michael Jackson tribute. Prior to the show, he voiced his displeasure with an Instagram post that showed him and his dancers rehearsing for the performance. Ciara also shared a rehearsal video of her own suggesting that she was also going to take part in the tribute. Brown shared a report that showed a huge decline in AMA viewership, captioned with a face-palm emoji. Dick Clark Productions clarified that the performance was cut due to a change in creative direction and was not the singer’s fault. “Live shows change all the time, it’s the nature of the business; unfortunately, this element of the AMAs didn’t come together as we couldn’t align on the performance, to no fault of Chris Brown.”
