WingStop To Sell Chicken In The Metaverse
Wingstop filed a multi-class trademark to sell “downloadable virtual goods” in the metaverse. This includes a marketplace for trading NFTs, digital assets, and artwork.
Wingstop is not the only restaurant entering the metaverse. McDonald’s and Panera Bread are also on the same path. Rick Ross, who has opened many Wingstop franchises, has not made any announcements about the company yet. There are a lot of celebrities and companies making their way into the metaverse, virtual reality, and augmented reality.
