Bad Bunny Named Spotify’s Most-Streamed Global Artist
Bad Bunny became the first artist to be Spotify’s most-streamed artist for three years in a row. The accomplishment was unveiled during Spotify’s 2022 Wrapped campaign which lists the top artists, songs, albums, and podcasts on the platform. Bad Bunny’s album, Un Verano Sin Ti, received over 18.5 billion streams. He was followed by Taylor Swift in second place, Drake, The Weeknd, and BTS. In other Spotify stats, Taylor Swift received Most Viral Office followed by The Weeknd, and Bad Bunny. Drake received the most-streamed artist in the United States followed by Taylor Swift then Bad Bunny. Harry Styles’ “As It Was” is the most-streamed song in America. In addition to dominating Spotify, Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” also topped the Billboard 200 chart for 13 weeks. The album is the first Spanish-language album to be nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys. Apple Music also recognized Bad Bunny as Artist of the Year.
