Pharrell Williams & Spotify Team Up for Black History Campaign

Major music streaming service Spotify has tapped Super prodcuer Pharrell Williams for the newest installment of their annual “Black History Is Happening Now” campaign. Williams is set to curate a series of music playlists for the company that are inspired by his influences, as well as appear in interviews and videos that express his views on Black culture. The series will touch on Pharrell beliefs in the power of black women, his beliefs on love, politics, the human condition and more.
According to Spotify, the campaign was created to continually highlight Black voices and to “continue to tell the stories of and raise topics that are important to black artists and creatives through video, podcast, and music curation”. With the release of the newest 3 Black History Is Happening Now videos, it seems as though Spotify and Pharrell are doing just that. Check out the first 3 videos in the series below.
