Throughout the past year, there have been countless instances of people calling the police for erroneous reasons.  The latest wacky police call hails from Spring Hill, Tennesse, and involves rap legend Jay-Z’s song “99 problems”. Reportedly, a resident called the police on his neighbor, after hearing him rap one particular line from the classic rap song.

According to the police report for the incident, it took place at around 8 p.m. A resident, Davon Eddington, was on the phone with his brother discussing the Lakers, and in response to being called a bandwagon fan he quoted Jay-Z. “I got 99 problems, but a bitch ain’t one.” said Eddington.

Eddington’s neighbor took the lyrics literally. He told police that Eddington was beating his fiancee, who was taking a bath at the time. Next, police made their way to Eddington’s place with weapons drawn. “I walked to the front of my house and I saw I was met with the police with guns. Drawn,” Eddington said.

Finally, law enforcement apologized to Eddington and admitted that it was his neighbor’s claims that led them to come to his house. Check out Eddington’s account of the story below.
