Since Meek Mill’s release from prison a few months ago, and prior to when he went in, the rapper has been consistently invested and involved in trying to create a better, more fair justice system for the citizens of this country. It appears his efforts just recieved a major boost, as 76’ers owner Michael Rubin has announced in an interview with Bleacher Report that he and Meek will be launching a criminal justice reform foundation very soon.

“Over the last six months, I’ve probably spent about a third of my time on criminal justice reform, because the whole system is totally broken” said Rubin. He goes on to talk about his intentions with the foundation.  “So we’re taking on the whole criminal justice system now, and we’re gonna be announcing a major foundation soon…I’m going to be highly involved with it, Meek’s going to be highly involved with it, and some other big people who you know and follow and care about will also be very involved with it. We think we can launch what will be the most impactful foundation within criminal justice reform and create a movement.”

With the amount of legal troubles Meek has been faced with over years and his knowledge of the injustices of the system, combined with Michael Rubin’s support ad passion for the cause, this should be a match up that can effectively evokes change within the system and community.
