Lil Wayne's "The Carter V" Album Dropping After 4 Year Wait
Article By: Ashia Skye
After 4 years of anticipation and lead up, Lil Wayne may finally be releasing the long-awaited album, The Carter V. Weezy’s label Young Money, tweeted out the cover art for the project along with the caption “Put them 5s up”.
The fiery red cover art depicts a red spotlight, and an open palm that reads “The World”. It also includes Lil Wayne’s name in text next to the palm. The cover art is the biggest news we’ve seen regarding The Carter V since Wayne dropped “Believe Me” in 2014. The song was supposed to be the album’s lead single, but the album was pushed back due to label troubles.
As for a release date for the new album, there isn’t one yet, but we can assume from the promo that it’s coming in the very near future. Check out the cover art for The Carter V below.
