As we are just getting into the 5th season of the hit Starz series, Power, executive producers 50 Cent & Courtney Kemp have decided to unveil another surprising twist of events. Rapper and Pulitzer Prize winner, Kendrick Lamar will be guest starring on episode 5 of season 5 this week.

The episode, titled “Happy Birthday”, is scheduled to air Sunday, July 29th at 9pm. Though there are no details on the character that Kendrick will playing, it has been revealed that he will star opposite 50 Cent in the episode.

Executive producer Mark Canton chimed in on Kendrick’s guest appearance, stating “Kendrick is a once in a generation talent and Courtney, 50 and I felt it would be exciting to create a role for him in ‘Power.’ Everyone involved is thrilled to have him join the family”.
