Kanye West’s generousity knows no bounds. According to The Wall Street Journal, the Chicago native  is donating $10 million to the Turrell Art Foundation.

The sizeable donation will benefit James Turrell’s Roden Crater Project. Turrell will transform a volcano crater into an observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona. The observatory will “offer a series of pathways, tunnels, chambers and openings onto the sky from within and around the crater’s surface,” according to Turrell’s website.

Kanye felt compelled to donate after visiting the Roden Crater last December and thoroughly impressed by the experience. According to The Wall Street Journal, Ye believes the Roden Crater Project should be “experienced and enjoyed for eternity.”
