Yo Gotti Reveals Advice He Received From 50 Cent
In a cover story with Billboard, Yo Gotti revealed the advice he received from 50 Cent concerning his CMG record label. Once known as Cocaine Muzik Group, the label was changed to Collective Music Group. Gotti said a phone conversation with 50 Cent sparked that change. 50 Cent told him that to reach the next level of success, he should consider changing the name, which caused Yo Gotti to start thinking in that direction. Collective Music Group is home to successful acts like Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, Blac Youngsta, EST Gee, and Mozzy. CMG has 50 Billboard Hot 100 entries and 12 projects making the Billboard 200’s Top 10.
