Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock; Jaden Smith Reacts
Will Smith and Chris Rock became the topic of discussion across the internet after a terrible joke led to an altercation at the Academy Awards. Chris Rock took the stage to introduce the award for Best Documentary. During his segment, he joked about Jada Smith saying, “Jada, I love you. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it.” The joke seemed to make Jada uncomfortable and led to Will stepping on stage to slap Chris Rock in front of the audience. The awkward moment immediately trended on Twitter and across the internet. Jaden Smith tweeted “And That’s How We Do It.” Reportedly, Chris Rock apologized to the Smith family for the joke. He may not have known Jada Pinkett Smith has been open about having alopecia and dealing with the loss of her hair behind it. Later in the night, Will Smith won the Oscar for Best Actor and apologized for his actions during his speech.
