Wale Returns To Broccoli City Festival
It’s been an intense few days for Wale. After announcing that he would not be performing at the Broccoli City Festival in DC, he has returned to the lineup.
An Instagram post from the Broccoli City account said “Happy to have worked through our miscommunication with our friend @wale we look forward to him bringing the DMV culture to the festival.” No explanation was offered from Wale except a seemingly joking tweet after trending, “Marketing 101 do something Wild promote your tour.” Wale is currently on the Under A Blue Moon Tour which began January 23rd and goes until March 11th. During his stop in Chicago, a man proposed to his fiance on stage. In addition to the return of Wale, Broccoli City announced “BLK CHANGE WEEKEND.” This is a 4-day initiative created for the purpose of improving black communities. Their goal is to “provide the opportunities, education and resources needed to create meaningful Black change.” The event will include BroccoliCon and Career Expo and a 5K run to coincide with the festival.
