Toosii’s Breakthrough: ‘Favorite Song’ Hits Billboard Hot 100 Top 10, Prepares for ‘Naujour’ Debut

Toosii For the first time in his career, musician Nau’Jour “Toosii” Grainger, originally from Syracuse and later Raleigh, has entered the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. His track “Favorite Song” ascended to the No. 8 spot on the chart. Up three places from its previous position at No. 11, “Favorite Song,” produced by Adelso and Tatiana Manaois, tallied a staggering 20.7 million streams during the tracking period. Khalid, the award-winning R&B artist, contributed to a remix of “Favorite Song” that was released on May 5. A music video for the collaborative effort was posted on Toosii’s YouTube channel on May 12. The Recording Industry Association of America recently recognized “Favorite Song” with a Platinum certification. The track is slated to be part of Toosii’s forthcoming studio LP, ‘Naujour,’ under Capitol Records. ‘Naujour’ will not only feature Khalid on the “Favorite Song (Remix),” but also includes collaborations with Wallo and 21 Savage. Toosii enlisted Future for the bonus track “Favorite Song (Toxic Version).” Set for release on June 2, ‘Naujour’ follows Toosii’s 2020 ‘Poetic Pain’ album, which was released under South Coast Music Group/Universal Music Group. Toosii’s previous works include the 2020 mixtape ‘Platinum Heart’ and 2021’s ‘Thank You for Believing.’ His EP ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ was released in October 2022, the same year he was named a member of the 2021 XXL Freshman Class. Fans will soon have the opportunity to see Toosii perform live. The “Naujour Tour” will commence on July 26 in San Francisco, California, with stops in several major cities including Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, New York, and Chicago.
