Toosii Celebrates His First Hot 100 Entry With “Favorite Song”
Toosii is celebrating his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week with his latest single, “Favorite Song.” The 23-year old rapper has been releasing music professionally for over five years. His new single debuted at No. 51 on the charts creating a new milestone for the 2021 XXL Freshman Class member. “Damn this brought tears to my eyes… I prayed every night and I waited on this. This gotta be a prank or something man!” Toosii tweeted in response to the news. The success of the record comes in part to its viral success on TikTok, having been used in over 400,000 clips. The streams have reached over 9.7 million listens in the United States. “Favorite Song” has around 4 million Spotify streams and the audio on YouTube pulled in over 1.6 million plays. While Toosii just cracked the Billboard Hot 100 chart, he has seen success three times on the Billboard 200 for his Platinum Heart, Poetic Pain, and Thank You For Believing projects.
