Taraji P. Henson To Guest Star on Abbott Elementary
Taraji P. Henson will be making a guest appearance on the ABC comedy series “Abbott Elementary.”
The “Empire” star will be portraying the character Vanetta in the April 12th episode.
The announcement was made during a PaleyFest LA panel attended by Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lisa Ann Walter, Tyler James Williams, William Stanford Davis, Janelle James, and Chris Perfetti (who joined online). Quinta Brunson, the show’s star and executive producer, also sent a pre-taped message to the audience.
In the upcoming episode, titled “Mom,” Janine (played by Quinta) plans a solo Memorial Day weekend trip but is interrupted by her mother’s unexpected arrival. Taraji will be playing Vanetta, Janine’s mother.
The episode is the 21st of the second season of “Abbott Elementary” and is set to air on April 12th at 9 pm Eastern Time.
