Snoop Dogg Partners with Jack in the Box for Signature Munchie Meal
In the world of business, Snoop Dogg’s portfolio is second to none. With endorsements ranging from Tostitos to General Insurance and Corona, coupled with his ownership of the Death Row brand, the rapper’s commercial prowess extends far beyond his “Gin & Juice” days.
Snoop Dogg is expanding his business footprint with his latest partnership with fast-food chain, Jack in the Box. As per a recent press release, the iconic rapper will be introducing his very own signature “Munchie Meal.” This collaboration marks the 10-year anniversary of the restaurant’s late-night menu, and it seems tailored for Snoop’s fellow herb enthusiasts.
The specialty meal features a “Spicy Sauced and Loaded Chicken Sandwich,” a classic taco, medium curly fries, a baked brownie, and a beverage. Snoop Dogg took to Twitter to promote this $14 mega-meal, sharing a video where he walks alongside the Jack in the Box mascot. He captioned the post, “Let’s do this thang, Jack,” nodding to an online poll purportedly conducted by the fast-food restaurant.
Snoop Dogg’s commercial success has been an inspiration to many other artists seeking to delve into endorsements. In a 2020 interview, Ice-T credited Snoop for his decision to enter the advertisement arena.
Ice-T, best known for his controversial 1992 single “Cop Killer,” had initially assumed mainstream endorsements would be off-limits for him. But Snoop Dogg’s breakthroughs prompted him to give it a shot.
“It was tough because I’m the ‘Cop Killer’,” Ice-T said during the interview. “Mainstream was like, ‘They won’t work with you because you’re too taboo.’ Then Snoop started knocking down walls. That’s my brother. So, Snoop was opening doors, and I thought, ‘Look, if Snoop’s making it through these doors, let’s try.’
He went on to discuss his success in the advertising world, mentioning his partnerships with brands like GEICO, RXBARs, and CarShield. He emphasized the potential financial benefits of these ventures, citing the likes of Shaquille O’Neal and Progressive’s spokesperson Flo as examples of lucrative endorsement deals.
