Russ Launches Artist-Friendly Label
Russ and his partner, Bugus, have launched a record label, DIEMON. The purpose of the label is to empower artists by allowing them to keep ownership of their masters and publishing. Russ said they would sign artists based on how much they like the artist. DIEMON will provide resources and mentorship to its signees in a profit split deal. The label will allow artists to keep up with their financial statements through a system set up with Vydia. Bay Area rapper LaRussell is the first artist to sign to the label. Russ has plans to incorporate various genres into the label.
