Quinta Brunson Wins Best Comedy Series at Golden Globes
Quinta Brunson has seen a lot of success with her comedy series, Abbott Elementary. The show received the honor for Best Comedy Series at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. This is the first time the HFPA has recognized the sitcom in that particular category. Quinta also won the award for Best Television Actress in a Comedy Series. Her co-star, Tyler James Williams, won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a television series. Abbott Elementary has received many awards since its premiere in December 2021. The show won two Emmys in September including an Outstanding Writing for a comedy series. Sheryl Lee Ralph won a 2022 Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, as well as a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 2023 Golden Globes.
