Notorious B.I.G. Honored In Celebration Of 50th Birthday
The Notorious B.I.G. will be honored ahead of what would have been his 50th birthday with a 25th Anniversary “Life After Death” Box Set. The celebation is a partnership between his estate, Bad Boy, Rhino and Atlantic Records. They’ve lauched a year long campaign titled, “Sky’s The Limit: A Year Celebrating The Legacy of The Notorious B.I.G.” There will be a series of online events March 25th. Fans will get to see upgraded versions of his video collection as well as an enhanced digital version of the album. On June 10th, a sSuper Deluxe boxed set of “Life After Death” will drop including eight LPs and a booklet with rare photos from the album cover shoot. The set will include vinyl versions of the singles. “Life After Death” topped the Billboard 200 a week after its debut and stayed on top of the list for four weeks. It eventually spent 87 weeks total on the chart and boasted two No. 1 hits on the Billboard 100.
