NBA YoungBoy Signs With Motown Records
NBA YoungBoy is exiting his deal with Atlantic Records after four studio albums to a home at Motown Records. He was already working with Motown, which is under the Universal Music Group umbrella, as his Never Broke Again collective is partnered to release some projects. The collective has already released two albums through Motown and set to drop their third project, Nightmare on 38th Street, this Friday. YoungBoy’s move to Motown will become official in 2023 when he plans to release new music. Last week, he dropped his “Ma I Got A Family” mixtape with DJ Drama. If the project makes Billboard 200, which it is expected to do, he will have passed Jay-Z on the list of artists with the most entries on the Billboard 200 chart. They are currently tied with 25 entries a piece. Even if YoungBoy didn’t make it with this project, he has already announced he will reach 10 tapes before the year is out, and he’s currently at six.
