Moneybagg Yo Delays Album Release Due to Taylor Swift’s New Edition; Promises Fans a June 2nd Launch
Fans eagerly awaiting Moneybagg Yo’s upcoming album will have to exercise a bit more patience.
The rapper’s highly-anticipated full-length project, “Hard To Love,” originally set to debut on May 26, has been rescheduled, reportedly due to Taylor Swift’s recent release.
Swift introduced her deluxe album “Midnights (Til Dawn Edition)” on the same day, featuring performances from rapper Ice Spice and singer Lana Del Rey. The album is a follow-up to her 2022 chart-topping LP.
The Memphis-based rapper, Moneybagg Yo, made the postponement announcement on social media, directly citing Swift’s new music. “Ima Let My Baby @taylorswift Drop Tonight. New Date Hard To Love June 2nd FRIDAY! 💔,” he said in an Instagram post on Thursday.
Moneybagg Yo, who rose to the top of the Billboard 200 chart in 2021 with his fourth studio album, “A Gangsta’s Pain,” is looking to replicate his success. The album also gained Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, and his previous album, “Time Served,” was awarded a Gold plaque in 2020.
