The road formerly known as McLean Street is now Missy Elliott Boulevard. Congressman Bobby Scott and Governor Glenn Youngkin presented Missy with the key to the city. During the ceremony Missy told the crowd, “I’ve rode down that boulevard so many times, so make sure yall don’t get no misdemeanors on my street.” The ceremony took place at Manor High School where Missy graduated. Hampton University performed, along with Elizabeth City University and Manor High School. They performed a megamix of all Missy songs.
