Lola Brooke Opens Up About Relationships and Success on Latto’s 777 Radio Show
In a recent episode of Apple Music 1’s 777 Radio, host Latto interviewed the rapidly rising hip-hop artist Lola Brooke.
The two discussed a variety of topics, including the possibility of dating someone within the music industry.
Brooke expressed openness to the idea of a relationship with a fellow entertainer, as long as the connection and her feelings were strong. However, when asked about dating someone with a more traditional career, Brooke expressed concerns about potential insecurities and conflicts with her achievements.
Lola Brooke has seen significant success in recent years, with her hit single “Don’t Play with It,” featuring Billy B, reaching No. 1 on urban radio. A remix of the song, featuring Latto and Yung Miami of City Girls, was released on March 24, and its music video has already surpassed 4 million views on YouTube.
Brooke’s accomplishments extend beyond music, as she was recently chosen as the face of Timberland’s 50th-anniversary campaign for the Original Timberland Boot. The Brooklyn native also opened for fellow New Yorker A Boogie wit da Hoodie on his “Me Vs Myself” international tour.
During the interview, Brooke proudly discussed her Brooklyn roots, stating that people from the borough always identify themselves as being from Brooklyn rather than simply New York. She paid tribute to the borough’s legendary artists, such as Jay-Z and Biggie, for their influence on her music and career.
