Lebron James Becomes Highest Scoring NBA Player Of All Time
Lebron James has surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the all-time scoring leader in the NBA. He broke the nearly 40-year record with a 14-foot fade-away jump shot in the last seconds of the third quarter in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite breaking this record, the Lakers would lose the game. After the game, James was joined by his wife, three children, and others for a brief ceremony with Abdul-Jabbar passing him the “torch” – the game ball. “I just want to say, thank you to the Laker faithful. You guys are one of a kind,” Lebron addressed the crowd. “To be able to be in the presence of such a legend as great as Kareem, it’s very humbling. Please give a standing ovation to the Captain, please. I thank you guys so much for allowing me to be a part of something I’ve always dreamed about.”
