Kanye West, the renowned rapper, recently achieved a milestone in his ongoing legal feud with sportswear titan, Adidas, as a judge dismissed the company’s urgent plea to reblock $75 million of West’s Yeezy-brand funds. During a hearing on Tuesday (May 30), a Manhattan federal judge dismissed Adidas’ worries that West might transfer the funds, according to court documents obtained by Billboard. Despite Adidas’ argument that the lack of such an order would result in “irreparable harm,” the judge rejected the plea. As reported by AllHipHop.com last week, Adidas discreetly initiated the legal proceedings against Kanye West in November of the previous year. This step was taken following the controversy around West’s alleged antisemitic remarks and a few weeks after the company publicly declared they had ended their association with the rapper. Judge Caproni instituted the order on an ex-parte basis, thereby not allowing Kanye West a chance to respond. West’s legal team contested this order last week, leading to Judge Caproni revoking it. The judge decided that Adidas had unjustly denied Kanye West an opportunity to defend himself. While the judge ruled in favor of Kanye West in the Tuesday hearing, the decision only negated the urgent motion. Adidas still retains the option to request the court to reintroduce an asset freeze on Yeezy via a different order. Both parties are expected to submit documents concerning this by the coming Thursday (Jun. 1). Amidst the courtroom drama, Kanye West has been seen sporting a variety of unique designs in public with his new wife, Bianca. In one instance, he wore a black shirt with exaggerated shoulder pads and blue sock shoes, while Bianca wore a makeshift headwrap to cover her face. During another outing in West Hollywood, Bianca repeated her headwrap look, while Kanye appeared in black sock shoes, potentially showcasing a new Yeezy design.
