Kanye West Being Sued By A Pastor Over Donda Sample
Kanye West is being sued by a Pastor who claims Ye sampled his sermon without permission. Bishop David Paul Moten says Ye used audio from his sermon in the song “Come To Life” on the Donda album. The sermon is used for 70 seconds of a 5-minute, 10-second track equating to over 20% of the song. Moten says his voice is used in the song intro and looped throughout the song. UMG Recordings, Def Jam Recordings, and G.O.O.D. Music are included in the lawsuit. Bishop Moten is going after all of them for damages.
