Joe Budden Says Jay-Z Wanted $250K For Pump It Up Rmx
Joe Budden responded to a recent interview that Jay-Z gave, saying he doesn’t charge for features but goes based on relationships instead. Joe’s experience was different as a new artist when he released the single, “Pump It Up.” According to Budden, Jay quoted his A&R a price of $250,000 to hop on the song’s remix. Joe didn’t understand the music business back then and thought between Jay’s relationship with the A&R and Just Blaze who produced the beat, that he would be able to get the song done. Despite not being able to afford the feature, Jay eventually rapped over the beat a month later for his own mixtape. He used the freestyle to fire back at the subliminal shots Budden took at him.
