Jay-Z Exposes Mississippi Prison With A&E Documentary
Jay-Z, Yo Gotti & Team Roc teamed up for an A&E documentary, “Exposing Parchman,” in attempt to reform the corruption of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
The four part documentary follows the rappers and 29 inmates through the process of a civil rights lawsuit against the prison. Parchman Prison made headlines in 2019 for its frequency of deaths and lack of basic human needs. The documentary will follow through the process of the civil rights suit and Parchman’s history of corruption. The suit is a two part lawsuit filed in 2020. A release date has not yet been announced.
