Jada Pinkett Diagnosed With Alopecia, Embraces Hair Loss
Jada Pinkett Smith is opening up about being diagnosed with alopecia and embracing her hair loss publicly.
Jada was diagnosed with alopecia in 2018. Alopecia is an autoimmune disorder that attacks hair follicles and causes baldness. Jada Pinkett went to Instagram to show a bald strip that appeared on top of her head and let people know that she’s not letting the disorder get her down. She captioned the Instagram video saying “me and this alopecia are going to be friends … period!” When diagnosed with the condition she spoke on how it was emotionally challenging but she learned to embrace it. And in case you didn’t notice, she’s beautiful regardless.
