DJ Kay Slay passed after a four-month battle with COVID-19. The legendary DJ had been hospitalized since January. Many artists and DJs have paid homage on social media as news spread of his passing. Kay Slay started as a graffiti artist in the 1970s. He became a New York legend on the DJ scene. Slay hosted the Street Sweeper mixtape series and released six studio albums.
