Grammy Awards Postponed Due To Covid
The Grammy Awards will be postponed indefinitely due to concerns over Covid-19.
The Awards were set to take place January 31st but now there’s no current date as the Omicron variant of Covid-19 has caused a huge surge. The Recording Academy and CBS released a joint statement to address the postponement. “After careful consideration and analysis with city and state officials, health and safety experts, the community and our many partners, the Recording Academy and CBS have postponed the 64th Annual Grammy Awards Show. The health and safety of those in our music community, the live audience and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly to produce our show remains our top priority.” The Grammys were going to be held at the Crypto.com Arena (formerly Staples Center) in downtown Los Angeles.
