Future Sells Majority Of Publishing Catalog
Future completed a deal to sell the majority of his publishing catalog to Influence Media for an undisclosed amount. The deal includes his catalog from 2004-2020. This includes major hits like “Mask Off” and “Life Is Good.” Future reportedly partnered with Influence Media to make sure the songs were “in good hands.” “Future is a cultural icon,” Rene McLean, Influence Media’s founding advisor said. “He continues to be a blueprint for impact and success in the music industry and has reinvented music in ways that no one has ever expected. It is rare to find someone who moves music and culture at the same speed with his distinct vocal and melodic style. We’re honored to be partnered with him.” Influence Media launched in 2019 in New York. The company is backed by BlackRock, Inc. and Warner Music Group.
