French Montana has become the first African-born artist to receive a diamond plaque for his single, “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee. The 2017 single has officially surpassed the 10 million-sold mark. French Montana is also the first male rap artist from the Bronx to receive a diamond single. He was born in Casablanca, Morocco but raised in the Bronx, New York. “Unforgettable” peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and hit No. 1 on the Hot Rap Songs and Rap Streaming Songs charts. The video has over 1.4 Billion views on YouTube.
