The last season of the popular Freeform series ‘Grown-ish’ is set to be a grand spectacle, with an impressive roster of guest stars, including rappers Latto and NLE Choppa, along with singers Kelly Rowland and Omarion.
The sixth season will mark the conclusion of ‘Grown-ish,’ a spin-off from the acclaimed show ‘Black-ish.’ Set in the context of California University, ‘Grown-ish’ brings back characters initially introduced in ‘Black-ish,’ including those played by Yara Shahidi and Marcus Scribner.
As per Deadline, rapper Latto, known for her hit “Big Energy,” will portray a wine representative named Sloane in the sitcom. Latto’s initial claim to fame was as a contestant on the reality competition show ‘The Rap Game.’
Former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland will be seen in the role of a psychology professor on ‘Grown-ish.’ Rowland’s acting repertoire includes appearances in films and TV series such as ‘Think Like a Man,’ ‘The Curse of Bridge Hollow,’ and ‘American Soul.’
Meanwhile, NLE Choppa and Omarion will make appearances as themselves in the forthcoming season. The main ensemble of ‘Grown-ish’ boasts names like Trevor Jackson, Diggy Simmons, Daniella Perkins, Justine Skye, and Tara Raani.
Notably, the Grammy-nominated R&B sister duo Chloe x Halle, consisting of Chlöe Bailey (Swarm) and Halle Bailey (The Little Mermaid), had also portrayed the Forster twins during the first four seasons of ‘Grown-ish.’
In addition to the aforementioned guests, the show has also lined up hip-hop artists Lil Yachty and Anderson .Paak for future episodes. Fans can look forward to the premiere of the first half of the final season, a creative brainchild of Kenya Barris, on June 28.
