Congratulations are in order for Alaina Marie Scott, the daughter of renowned rapper Eminem, who recently exchanged vows with her long-term boyfriend, Matt Moeller.
The radiant bride took to Instagram on Tuesday (Jun. 13) to share a series of images from her special day, describing her wedding as “simply one of the best days of my life.” One photo captured her big sister, Hailie Jade, beaming alongside her in the bridal party.
In the caption, Alaina wrote, “June 9, 2023, simply one of the best days of my life 🤍. In this lifetime and in the next, my soul will always find yours 🌹.”
While the joyous occasion received much celebration, some individuals in the comments section noted the absence of Eminem in the wedding photos. A few critics assumed that the superstar rapper did not attend the event for his daughter. Eminem adopted Alaina from his ex-wife Kim Scott’s sister, Dawn, who had been struggling with substance abuse. In a 2004 Rolling Stone interview, he explained his decision to adopt the young girl, stating, “I really had no choice but to step up to the plate.” He witnessed the cycle of dysfunction in her life, as she moved between various households, and was determined to put an end to it. Eminem gained full custody of his niece and joint custody of his daughter Hailie.
Meanwhile, Eminem is preparing for yet another wedding as his daughter Hailie Jade got engaged to her boyfriend, Evan McClintock, in February. Following the traditional approach, McClintock sought permission from the famous rapper before proposing to Hailie.
