Dreamville Festival Boosts Raleigh’s Economy
J. Cole provided a major boost to Raleigh, North Carolina’s economy with his Dreamville Festival. According to the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, they calculated the event generated over $6.7 million in revenue. The Dreamville Festival had a combined attendance of 80,000 people. The festival takes place at the Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh. Tickets were sold in all states as well as in 20 other countries. Wake County occupancy was up to 92% on the Saturday night of the festival. The $6.7 million is a modest estimate that doesn’t include locals’ spending or indirect impacts. The 2022 Dreamville Festival took place on April 2-3 with performances from J. Cole, J.I.D., Ari Lennox, EarthGang, WizKid, Lil Baby, Kehlani, Wiz Khalifa, Wale, T-Pain, and more.
