Drake’s Unstoppable Chart Dominance: Four Albums Surpass 300 Weeks on Billboard 200
Canadian singer and rapper Aubrey Drake Graham continues to break records and accumulate remarkable achievements.
With four albums now spending at least 300 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart, Drake’s chart-topping success shows no signs of slowing down.
This week, Drake’s 2017 commercial mixtape, More Life, reached the 300-week milestone, coming in at No. 95 on the latest Billboard 200. The mixtape originally debuted at No. 1 back in April 2017. Joining More Life in the 300-week club are three of Drake’s other No. 1 projects: 2016’s Views (361 weeks), 2013’s Nothing Was The Same (463 weeks), and 2011’s Take Care (528 weeks).
In recent months, other hip hop and R&B artists have also seen their albums reach the 300-week mark, such as SZA’s Ctrl and Post Malone’s Stoney. More Life boasts collaborations with Kanye West, Young Thug, Giggs, Skepta, Quavo, Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Jorja Smith, Sampha, PartyNextDoor, and Black Coffee. The Recording Industry Association of America has certified More Life as 3x-Platinum.
The mixtape includes Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 singles “Fake Love,” “Passionfruit,” and “Portland,” with “Fake Love” earning a 4x-Platinum Award, “Passionfruit” receiving 3x-Platinum certification, and “Portland” achieving 2x-Platinum status. Drake’s latest Hot 100 Top 10 entry, “Search & Rescue,” debuted at No. 2. The multi-talented artist currently holds the Hot 100 records for most career entries (294), Top 40s (174), Top 20s (116), Top 10s (68), and Top 5s (35).
