Drake Named Most Searched Artist On Shazam
While Apple Inc.’s Shazam celebrated its 20-year anniversary, the app has identified Drake as the top searched artist of all time. Songs with Drake as the lead or featured artist were Shazamed over 350 million times. “One Dance” is his most popular song with over 17 million Shazams. Lil Wayne was the first artist to reach 1 million Shazams in 2009 and the first to reach 10 million Shazams in 2011. Eminem was the first to reach 1000 Shazams in 2002 with the track, Cleanin’ Out My Closet. Tones and I have the most Shazamed song with over 41 million searches for their song, Dance Monkey.
