Dom Kennedy Sues LAPD Over Gun Laws
Dom Kennedy is suing the City of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners, and the LAPD. He claims the LA gun laws are unconstitutional. The class-action lawsuit aims to expose restrictive laws preventing the concealed carry of weapons and arresting people for carrying a weapon for self-defense outside of the home or place of business. Dom Kennedy says Los Angeles’ licensing scheme violates the Second and Fourteenth Amendments. Dom wants to have his past arrest nulled and void. Along with Garry Matthews, they want everyone impacted by the laws to have their arrest and prosecution records sealed.
