Dave Chappelle Attacked While Performing On Stage
A fan rushed Dave Chappelle on stage during his set at the Hollywood Bowl. The performance was part of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival. Footage on social media shows a man running into Chappelle during his performance. Security, along with Jamie Foxx, then dragged the man away. There is footage from later in the night that shows Dave Chappelle and Jamie Foxx making jokes about the confrontation. Chappelle joked, “whenever you’re in trouble, Jamie Foxx will show up in a sheriff’s hat.” They joked about beating the man up backstage. After Foxx left the stage, Dave Chappelle asked the audience to gather composure and have a “peaceful moment.”
